Lookbook Fall 2010 ~ Christos

Christos is designed by famed bridal designer, Amsale Aberra, but the Fall 2010 Christos collection has a distinctly separate personality from her Fall 2010 Amsale collection. Sure, there are similarities in this Christos collection and we see a few of those Amsale-like wrapped bodices, a bow here and there and the same ballgown silhouettes, but this collection takes romanticism quite a bit further. The one-shouldered look, which lends itself more to modernity than romance, is noticeably absent. I love the use of the metallic floral print, floral detailing, lace and embroidery. While I think the design of the Poeme gown (pictured last) is interesting and sweet in a light dove gray with cascading floral blossoms, the standout in the crowd is the first gown pictured below. It has the same lovely, flattering wrapped bodice of the gowns I loved from the Amsale collection and a simple ballgown silhouette, but the embroidered skirt is heavenly.
