The Blooming South Giveaway!

We love the handmade ring bearer pillows from The Blooming South so much that we featured one in our Winter 2010 issue's Attention to Detail. The exquisite pillows are inspired by designer Kim Morgan's passion for flowers, fabrics and fashion and designs range from vibrant florals to rustic burlap. We're thrilled to announce that we've partnered with The Blooming South to give one of Kim's pretty pillows to one lucky winner, who will have the option of choosing from the current line available on etsy or to have one custom made!

To win one of these gorgeous ring bearer pillows from The Blooming South, leave a comment on this post telling us what you love about the South. We'll randomly draw from all the comments and announce the winner next Friday, May 7th at noon. Good Luck!

  1. It's always great to tell your friends how you grew up selling watermelon out the back of your grandfather's pick up truck yelling, "Come get your nice big WATER-rrrrMELON! Gotta love the south!

  4. My favorite part of the South is New Orleans, where I went to college! There is no city in the world quite like it, and no food that compares to the Cajun goodness :)

  5. They are really gorgeous. I'm sure that the ring bearer would be excited to walk the aisle carrying one of them. :) So cool.

  9. Besides my college (I heart UVA!), I'd probably have to go with icy cold lemonade on a hot summer day. It's always funny to me when people complain about humidity in any other part of the country. So glad I adapted to it years ago! But it's still not my favorite part. :-)

  11. Sweet Tea! I lived on the west coast for awhile and had sweet tea withdrawals!

  12. The best thing about the south is not getting yelled out on line at Starbucks for taking too long to order (I live in NYC - if you take too long, you get yelled at!)

  13. I'm in love with the South! I have family down there and the few times we were able to visit it was absolutely amazing! We met the sweetest people on our flights and still keep in touch with them! The friendly people make it feel so much like home (a lot sweeter than the people where I live!)

  16. Seersucker suits, pralines, sweat tea, black eyed peas & collard greens, pickled okra, cobbler and blue grass! Can you tell I am Southern?

  17. I love the friendly waves from strangers, the sweet smell of honeysuckle, the taste of sweet tea, the feeling of sand between your toes, the terrific words that grandmothers use too often (I reckon!) and finally the pace of southerners...the more you slow down, the better life gets!
