Real Wedding ~ Kris and Jonathan

Kris and Jonathan were married at Pepper Plantation in a lovely Southern affair photographed by Leigh Webber Photography. With the help of the amazing team at WED, Kris merged her Southern heritage with chic modern style using streamlined decor, clean silhouettes and crisp white flowers. The event palette, inspired by peacock feathers, was created in a variety of blues and fresh spring greens. Peacock feather details were found in nearly every element of the event design, from the wedding papers created by Studio R Designs to Kris' lush bouquet. Kris accessorized her strapless gown with navy blue satin Christian Louboutin d'Orsay pumps to match her bridesmaids' long gowns in the same hue. The groom and his groomsmen wore navy suits paired with white shirts, blue paisley patterned ties and calla lily and peacock feather boutonnieres.

Though rain threatened, the sky remained clear for the serene outdoor ceremony. Natural wood chairs were set on the lawn and moss covered pomanders scattered with small white orchids lined the aisle. An arbor made of vine and long stems of white orchids provided a striking centerpiece, framing the lake view and the couple's exchange of vows. The cocktail reception in the Pavilion featured rattan lounge furniture set on the porches and modern draping through the rafters. Tables were dressed in pale blue and slate blue linens with small arrangements of white blooms including orchids, hydrangea and calla lilies. The couple and their guests danced the night away to Southern tunes by the Breezin' band and made their getaway in a vintage black and white Rolls Royce.
