Real Wedding ~ Caroline and Willis

With so many gorgeous details packed into Caroline and Willis' wedding day, we couldn't wait to share their Mt. Pleasant, SC nuptials photographed by our good friends, The Schultzes. The event was designed in a striking palette of slate gray, sunny yellow and white. Caroline wore a body-hugging lace gown with glittery silver pumps and a lace-trimmed chapel length veil, while her bridesmaids wore strapless gray cocktail dresses with yellow sashes and embroidered crystal detailing at the hip. Caroline carried a dramatic cascading bouquet of delicate white orchids and her bridesmaids carried gathered bouquets of canary yellow tulips. Willis and his groomsmen followed suit in gray with yellow polka dot ties and cool boutonnieres made from a single yellow calla lily, wire mesh, a sprig of greenery and a game feather.

The reception was held at The Pavilion on the expansive Pepper Plantation, where guests dined on the barn's wraparound porch. The tables were draped in white linens with dark chocolate chivari chairs to pick up the tones in the rustic knotty wood of the barn. Centerpieces were made in low arrangements of white hydrangea, yellow roses and twigs and signs with gray monogramming were hung with bright yellow ribbon on the barn doors. Southern inspired cocktails were served in mason jars while guests danced the night away to the sounds of Still Cruzin. Don't miss any of the receptions details, including the yummy yellow and white candy bar spread, the brilliant yellow lanterns and the yellow and white cake with intricate piping! 2. Yes, I was fortunate enought to get to wear one of those dresses and stand up there with my sister while she said her vows. The whole evening was beautiful. I also wanted to add that my friend Meredyth Ward Kirman did the candy bar. She is currently out of Winston-Salem,NC and is very tallented.
