Real Wedding ~ Laura and Matt

Laura and Matt's traditional fall affair in Norfolk, VA was photographed by Sam Hughes Photography and coordinated by Antonia Christianson Events. The event palette was designed with a base of deep chocolate brown to contrast with a variety of brilliant colors, including orange, fuchsia, yellow and bright apple green. Laura wore a strapless column gown with a dramatic bow above the separated train and carried a bouquet of green and white blooms with a leafy green collar made by by Bloom the Art of Flowers. Her bridesmaids wore floor length gowns in deep brown taffeta and carried colorful gathered bouquets with similar leafy collars. Matt and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with black vests and ties and boutonnieres made of fragrant white freesia.

The reception was held in the spectacular Huber Court at the Chrysler Museum of Art, inspired by 15th-century Florentine design with a vaulted glass ceiling and double stone staircase. Round guest tables were set tone on tone, with chocolate taffeta pintuck linens, dark stained chivari chairs and dark chocolate brown napkins. Centerpieces were created in glass containers using a variety of flowers in bold hues, such as tulips, roses, button mums and ranunculus. We especially love the pretty paper goods, including the table number signs with a tree branch and birdcage design.
