Real Wedding ~ Carol and Wilson

We love Carol and Wilson's happy spring nuptials in Belmont, NC photographed by the always amazing Kellie Kano. The event was designed in a sunny palette of pinky and orangey corals, canary yellow, chartreuse and soft gray. Carol wore a lovely ruffled gown by Modern Trousseau with a retro-chic birdcage veil, a feathered fascinator and a pair of bright yellow pumps with heart detailing by Vivienne Westwood. She carried a lush bouquet of coral peonies, billy balls and bright yellow azalea while her bridesmaids carried smaller yellow bouquets of billy balls and azalea. The bridesmaids wore knee-length cocktail dresses in pinky coral, orangey coral or gray in a variety of styles, while Wilson and his groomsmen wore slim, modern two-button gray suits paired with silver ties and canary yellow boutonnieres.

The reception was held at the Mount Holly Citizen's Center where white linens and chairs created a blank canvas for bold centerpiece arrangements of white hydrangea, bamboo shoots, yellow billy balls and open yellow roses. Carol and Wilson's sweetheart table was covered in chartreuse linen with matching chair sashes and two painted wooden signs labeled "Mr." and "Mrs." The delicious buttercream frosted cake made by Tizzerts was topped with a pair of love birds dressed as the bride and groom, while music served as the inspiration for a host of other details. Guests signed a book of concert posters in lieu of a traditional guest book, guitar picks were given as favors and glow sticks were on hand as the band The Dickens started to play. Carol changed from her pretty pumps into Converse Chuck Taylors and danced the night away.
