Real Wedding ~ Ginny and Devin

We absolutely {heart} Ginny and Devin's happy spring nuptials in Hunstville, AL photographed by our wonderful friends, the amazing ladies of Simply Bloom Photography. From polka dots and red shoes to vintage tins, mustaches on a stick and a serious group of superheroes, what's not to love? Ginny and Devin's wedding was a sweet family affair with a fun focus on their cute little boy Liam, who wore a Batman costume. Other children at the wedding also dressed in a variety of costumes including Wonder Woman and Super Girl, not to mention a princess or two. Ginny and Devin kept their attire a bit more traditional, albeit still infused with their unique style. Ginny wore a pretty strapless party dress with candy apple red espadrilles, a ruffled bolero and a red carved flower necklace. She carried a full gathered bouquet of crimson, canary, and soft pink blooms, while Devin wore a gray jacket, khaki trousers, a navy and sky blue striped tie, a pair of royal blue suede Vans and a boutonniere made from a single yellow ranunculus.

The reception was designed in a vibrant palette of brights, including deep red, fuchsia, yellow and apricot with bold accents of maroon and the occasional purple and blue. Tables were covered in a selection of patterned linens ranging from polka dots to sweet florals, while centerpieces were created using a variety vintage vessels that Ginny and Devin collected, including everything from small glass vases and mason jars to apothecary jars, aged tins and porcelain teapots. Tissue poms were strung from the ceiling and added to the floral centerpieces, while Polaroids of Ginny, Devin and Liam were made into a large wall display. Don't miss a single DIY detail, including the mustache on a stick props. If you'd like to see more of this adorable family, check out their engagement session post. Enjoy!
