Real Wedding ~ Erin and Larry

Erin and Larry were married at the spectacular Mediterranean-style villa Laguna Gloria, built in 1916 and now home to the Austin Museum of Art. Their stylish Texas affair was photographed by Q Weddings and designed in a sophisticated palette based on fresh apple green, violet and fuchsia, accented by purples ranging from eggplant to orchid. Erin wore a body-skimming silk charmeuse gown by Jenny Packham with ornate crystal embellishing, a plunging neckline and straps that twisted in the center of her back. She added a pair of deep aubergine suede Mary Janes by Christian Louboutin and vintage crystal snake cuff, while Larry wore a tailored black suit paired with a white button down and lavender silk tie.

Erin enlisted the help of an amazing design team made up of florist David Kurio, Kurant Events and Townsley Designs to transform the venue using brilliant color and a variety of design elements. A series of clear and white tents were situated adjacent to the villa, providing shelter over the flagstone terraces and reception tables. The terrace fountain was filled and topped with a vivid spray of flowers, including miniature roses, sweet peas and orchids. Crystal chandeliers were suspended from the tent ceilings by massive ropes of lush blooms in fuchsia and lime green, while votives were scattered throughout on dining, cocktail and buffet tables. Guest tables were covered in ivory linens and set with silver chivari chairs and vibrant centerpieces of orchids, roses, hydrangea and deep green moss. The buffet tables were decorated with dramatic gatherings of tall cylindrical glass vases holding bouquet-like masses of citrus spider mums, violet and fuchsia orchids, roses and Black Forest calla lilies. Lounge areas were created using mirrored cocktail tables paired with white furniture, white shag carpeting and bold accent pillows in olive green and dark purple. Lighting schemes designed by Ilios Lighting cast intricate designs on the the walls of the villa and created a wash of color inside the tents as the evening progressed from dinner to dancing.
