Real Wedding ~ Melissa and Keith

Have you ever been to a wedding where there was a pig as a guest? No? That's strange... it happens all the time! Ok, we're totally kidding. We've seen a lot of weddings, but this was a first for us. When Captured by Kate photographer Kate Thornton sent us Melissa and Keith's pretty spring wedding planned by Something to Celebrate at Lowndes Grove, admittedly it was Dallas Alice, the couple's adorable pet pig, that caught our eye. We took a closer look and the fun event had so many pretty details that we couldn't wait to share them with you.

Melissa chose a palette of fresh green, crisp white and an array of violet hues, ranging from deep purple to pale lavender. Her bridesmaids wore cocktail dresses in bold plum and carried massed bouquets that included green hydrangea and violet ranunculus. Pomanders of light green and purple hydrangea on shepherds hooks lined the aisle for the outdoor ceremony and Dallas Alice wandered nearby while Melissa and Keith exchanged vows.

The reception was a mixture of indoor and outdoor atmospheres, with a tent staged on the grounds near the plantation house. The tables were set in pristine white linens with centerpieces created in a lush mixture of green and purple blooms. Bamboo chairs added a natural element, while wrought iron chandeliers draped in florals hung overhead. Don't miss a single detail, including the couple's four tier cake with exquisite green piping details by Ashley Bakery and a few special appearances by Alice Dallas! Lo Boheme

Really, how much do you love these gorgeous hair accessories from Lo Boheme? We're completely smitten and couldn't wait to share them with you! Each piece is one-of-a-kind, inspired by the details of bygone eras, such as the French Bohemianism of the late 1800s, the detailed lines of the Art Nouveau movement or the glamour of Old Hollywood. Lo Boheme mixes the historic significance and delicate feminine sophistication of these eras with a modern design approach to produce unique, yet wearable headpieces. We've included images of some of our favorites pieces, including colorful designs from Lo Boheme's latest Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Real Wedding ~ Courtney and Steve

It was a beautiful day for Courtney and Steve's November nuptials photographed by Two Pair Photography at Texas Old Town in Kyle, TX. The event was designed with the rustic venue in mind, working from an inspired palette of chocolate brown, mossy green and bold mustard yellow. Courtney wore a strapless lace gown with peacock blue suede peep-toe pumps, while her bridesmaids wore yellow party dresses ranging in hue from a golden mustard to pale banana. The groom and groomsmen wore brown trousers, brown ties and suspenders, but Steve added a jacket and a pair of his favorite Toms Shoes. Mason jars with sprigs of yellow blooms hung from shepherds hooks along the ceremony aisle and Courtney and Steve exchanged vows beneath a brilliant arrangement of gathered blooms in a variety of vibrant colors.

The reception was held at the charming assembly hall on the Texas Old Town property, where Lindy's Flowers created small centerpieces in mason jars wrapped in twine. Hanging birdcages, a variety of lanterns, birds' nest details and a vintage suitcase added a touch of whimsy to the decor. We especially adore the the love-bird cake topper perched on uppermost layer of their three-tier graduated yellow wedding cake, set in its own "nest" formed with twigs and branches. Don't miss the images and postcards hung by clothespins on twine to tell Courtney and Steve's love story. E Session ~ Majelle and Anthony

We absolutely {heart} Majelle and Anthony's engagement session, photographed by Kelly Hornberger. This fun couple had such great styling ideas for photography that their session was divided into two distinct parts, beginning with a sunny romp in the Texas landscape. Mix a really cute take on a prairie dress with some well-worn cowboy boots, throw in a handsome boy in a cowboy hat and you've got a recipe for delicously happy, so-in-love images. Majelle and Anthony ditched the western attire for part two and opted for a vintage travel theme, complete with train cases and a dusty, sun-baked road. Majelle wore a black lace dress with brilliant red mary janes and a black fascinator, while Anthony rocked gray trousers, suspenders and a fedora. We can't wait to see what they have in store for their wedding, but until then, stop by Kelly Hornberger's blog to see more of their engagement session.
